About New Zealand China Friendship Society Inc

The New Zealand China Friendship Society (NZCFS) has been working with NZ-China relations for nearly 60 years. Its fundamental aim is to promote friendship and goodwill between the people of the two countries. Activities include tours to China , encouraging two-way visits, fostering interest in the study of Chinese language within New Zealand , facilitating New Zealand English teachers to China , and active participation in sister-city relations. NZCFS has also been involved in delivering many projects in China , for example disaster relief projects after the 2008 Sichuan earthquake and poverty reduction projects in poor areas of China . There are regional branches throughout New Zealand , where regular meetings are held. Programmes include banquets, welcoming Chinese visitors, film evenings, talks on aspects of Chinese civilization and culture, etc. E veryone is welcome to attend and become a member, please feel free to contact the secretary Heiko Lade for further inquiries.
