We produce local and manuka honey on New Zealand's west coast. One study [1] showed 88% of wounds that were previously non-healing decreased in size after the application of manuka honey. Another study [2] in Greece showed that dressing wounds with manuka honey significantly reduced healing time and helped treat infection in patients with diabetic ulcers. More importantly, there are thousands of reports of people healing wounds quickly and safely with manuka honey all over the world. We could list hundreds more studies here if needed, but the results are pretty clear.
