The Brown Pub, previously named New Zealand's Best Country Hotel at the HANZ Awards for Excellence, is located right in the middle of town and offers the Main Bar, the Fireside Bar, a family restaurant, fresh, clean affordable accommodation and naturally a great time. The restaurant menu includes NZ Green Lipped Mussels, Herd Coated Lamb Cutlets, and Venison and Malt Ale Pie as well as old favourites including the Roast of the Day, Steak and Egg Burger, and our Famous Brown Pub Hoki .
