Shore Dance offers a wide range of ballet, jazz, and tap dance classes, taught in a professional, friendly, and nurturing atmosphere. We offer fun pre-school dance classes to 3 and 4 year olds, based on the Royal Academy of Dance Preschool Curriculum which aims to “capture and nurture young children’s instinctive joy of movement and freedom of expression”. For students who are aged 5 years and upwards, we offer the Royal Academy of Dance ballet classes, an internationally renowned syllabus which progresses from Pre-primary and Primary level (5 and 6 year olds), through the lower grades (7+ year olds), to the higher Graded Syllabus and the Vocational Graded Syllabus (11+ year olds). We also offer adult ballet classes which incorporate the aspects of the RAD ballet syllabus in a fun and challenging environment where everyone is welcome. Shore Dance is a registered American Jazz Dance Affiliation (AJDA) studio. AJDA is a fun and exciting syllabus that is taught in our jazz classes (aged 5+ years) and progresses through the introductory levels (5+ years), through the Elementary levels (10+ years), and continues through to the Intermediate and Advanced levels. We are very excited to be introducing our new tap classes to Shore Dance, which follow the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD) American Tap Syllabus. Tap is offered from the age of 6 years, and we also have a fun adult tap class.
