Our cafe located at the start of the Lake Matheson walkway has great views of Mt Cook and Mt Tasman. We offer breakfast, lunch and gourmet pizzas, deli style sandwiches, cakes, pies, cookies, salads. All products are made on site. Open daily from 7.30am until late for evening dining November - March, and 8am until 4pm March - October. Dinner at Matheson Cafe From November to the end of March, Matheson Café changes its persona in the evening from fresh café food to a table service restaurant with an incredible new menu and extensive wine list on offer. Providing the perfect place to enjoy award winning cuisine, sample some of New Zealand’s finest beers and wines, relaxing after your adventures around Fox and Franz Josef Glacier. Bookings are welcome and essential for large groups and tours.
