The Housing Advice Centre is s not-for-profit organisation. We provide the following services: -a free 24 hour accommodation listing service, which includes houses, flats, boarding situations, flatmates and situations wanted. We concentrate mainly on Palmerston North, but do provide some listings for surrounding areas; -Free advice on your rights and responsibilities as a tenant or landlord under the Residential Tenancies Act; -Information on different types of accommodation available, including emergency accommodation; -Assistance with tenancy complaints. We can outline the Tenancy Tribunal process, and give you information about other services in the area that might be useful for you; -Information sheets about renting for landlords and tenants, flatmate and boarding agreements, 10 working day notices for breach of tenancies, rent summaries and more.
