Our New Zealand client has a 'highly experienced and dedicated team of skilled tradesmen and project managers specialise in hydro and geothermal generating plant maintenance.' They provide one of their clients with 'clean energy' through a highly sophisticated geothermal steam process. Our client's client covers a wide range of industries. In this example they are 'a relatively new entrant to the New Zealand dairy processing industry'. They produce 'high quality whole milk powder to meet high-end ingredient requirements. The milk powder is sold to high-end international customer base. [They] also produce consumer packs of UHT milk for the international market'. The dairy factory uses 'clean energy' to power most of its processing. Originally, our client had Freeman Software's Maintenance Management System running on a stand-alone laptop in the building at the geothermal well-head. This is a very harsh environment with dust, steam, sulphur and other geothermal artefacts present. The supplied Laptop held up well but, after six years, its days are numbered in this environment. Also, over time it has proved difficult to report and monitor maintenance procedures from this laptop. Being on a secured site this also proved impossible for Dairy Factory Management to oversee. We have recently migrated all the data from the laptop to Freeman Software's cloud-based Maintenance Management system. (Technically, this is based on Google App Engine and Google Datastore). Our authentication means that only specified users can access the system and our access control means that we can limit those authorised users to specific functions within the system. Best of all... Our client's client now has access to a dashboard showing maintenance progress on a real-time basis. Please get in touch with Freeman Software if our Maintenance Management System can help your business succeed.
