Freeman Software's Maintenance Management system can be used in a number of ways. Choose the way that best suits your business ... One of our clients simply keeps a list of all their Assets and records when breakdowns occur. Only quarterly and annual maintenance is scheduled. They are in the fortunate position to be able to duplicate their systems so that they always have replacement parts on hand. Another client schedules everything and records the occasional breakdown. They schedule cleaning of filters, roofs and pipes. They schedule regular lubrication and oil changes of gearboxes and motors. Vehicles, including cars, trucks and forklifts, are regularly maintained. Everything is scheduled down to weekly requirements. Of course, these are extremes. You have to use the system to benefit your business, not theirs. It may be that you want to schedule and record the less regular maintenance events like the monthly vehicle maintenance or the quarterly gutter cleaning for your buildings, jobs that otherwise are forgotten. Whatever you do, you can always record 'special events'. You might notice a leaking pipe or a broken window on your tour. Simply record these in your maintenance system and it won't be lost - far better than sticky notes on your desk! These ad-hoc tasks will appear on your jobs to do list until they have been fixed.
