Aroa Biosurgery is a soft-tissue regeneration company that develops, manufactures and distributes medical and surgical products to improve healing in complex wounds and soft tissue reconstruction Aroa Biosurgery was founded in 2008, based on the regenerative properties of ruminant forestomach extracellular matrix (ECM) technology initially investigated and developed by Dr. Brian Ward. The company, which was formerly called Mesynthes, initially contracted scientists from Industrial Research Ltd to get started and then rapidly transitioned to its own internal development team to accelerate commercialization. Early in 2014, Aroa Biosurgery relocated and expanded into a new purpose built facility in Auckland, New Zealand.
