Mr Heiko Lade has been in private acupuncture practise for 30 years and has managed clinics in Sydney, Auckland, Dunedin, Christchurch, Masterton, Tauranga and Napier. He has a masters degree from the University of Technology, Sydney where he did research with Chinese herbal medicine in the treatment on diabetes, multiple scerlosis, irritable bowel syndrome and auto immune diseases. After moving to New Zealand in 1999, he obtained a Certificate in Adult Teaching from the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology and has taught in the field of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in Christchurch and Auckland. Currently he is endorsed by the New Zealand Institute of Sport and recognised by the Hawkes Bay Rugby Union to treat football players of the "Magpies". One of his areas of interest is in the treatment of sports injuries and atheletic enhancement. Past activities included being president of the New Zealand Register of Acupuncturists and he is currently the secretary of the New Zealand China Frienship Society Inc.
