Counselling Therapy

You will experience a safe, supportive relationship which provides a completely confidential space to explore your innermost self without judgement.

My approach to therapy is holistic, encompassing all aspects of body, mind, spirit and soul. Together we look at how your day-to-day living, your relationships and/or any significant life events impact on your long-held beliefs and your current life situation. We also talk about your past, your present and your ideas for the future so you're able to develop an awareness of attitudes and beliefs which may limit you and keep you stuck. Engaging in this process of self-discovery frees you from unconscious conflicts which drag you down both mentally and physically.

Through self-exploration and through practising mindful awareness you stimulate the brain to change old, unhealthy patterns and to adopt healthier choices. Making choices which enhance your mental and physical wellbeing means you not only choose more satisfying relationships but you also enjoy the benefits of better all-over health.

The majority of the time we spend together will be based on talk therapy but it may also include sandtray therapy, dream interpretation, meditation, mindfulness, relaxation, body/mind focusing and as well as other techniques to explore the inner self.

Professional Supervision & Reflective Professional Development

It's valuable to talk with someone who can support you to reflect on your work and see workplace issues from a different perspective. Every workplace comes with its own challenges and sometimes you may have difficulty dealing with ethical matters, maintaining clear boundaries, setting goals, recognising professional development opportunities, managing stress, dealing with personal trauma associated with client work, or handling seemingly irresolvable work relationship issues.

Professional Supervision & Reflective Professional Development is a relationship within which you can feel supported and accepted while you explore how your personal beliefs and your past experiences affect the way you relate to your work environment and to those you work with.

As a relationship between two professionals it is a means to assist you to develop insight on a personal and professional level as well as to provide a safe space for you to deal with confidential material related to the work environment.
