We are fans of Rui Peng's Critical 100% recycled plastic panels so we specified them in Eventfinda Stadium's food service areas. A pleasure to work with Rui to customise the panels to suit our scheme and application!
Co-founder & CEO at Critical. | Startmate Accelerator S22 Alumni | TEDx Speaker | I help designers create beautiful spaces using 100% recycled plastic panels called Cleanstone.
Eventfinda stadium recently completed their Cafe 92 fitout using Cleanstone for the benchtop and counter front, and the results are stunning. Designed by Kate Pilot from Kanat Studio, they used the 30mm Critical. Marble Cleanstone for the benchtops and a custom 12mm Eventfinda bespoke colour mix for the counter fronts. This space was the coming together of exciting tones, textures and sustainability. Ka mau te wehi e hoa mā! Aotearoa is teeming with incredible individuals and organisations championing sustainable design practices and it's important we celebrate our home grown talent. Learning from their successes can spark new ideas for your own projects. Here are 3 ways we're seeing sustainable designers practice kaitiakitanga: 1. They embrace rransparency with clients: Educate them on the benefits of sustainable materials like recycled plastic panels. Explain how these choices contribute to the circular economy. 2. They seek out sustainable partners: Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers committed to eco-friendly practices. 3. They design for durability & future use: Opt for high-quality materials like Cleanstone panels for a long-lasting fit-out. Consider modular furniture and interior systems that are future proofed.
